Quick question for MFAU! For the hermits that can teleport, is their teleportation cross-dimensional? For example, could Mumbo teleport from the Overworld to the End, or would he still require a portal?

I mentioned this in passing at one point I think, but the answer is yes! It takes a lot more effort and a much higher skill level, though. It’s something Endermen are taught to do at a young age. Shulkers are a lot more stationary than Endermen and most use teleporting as a defense mechanism rather than transportation, so interdimensional teleportation isn’t something widely learnt or taught by them. X and EX taught themselves.

I know you haven’t been talking about the mob au recently but, just imagine the unfiltered amazement of the hybrids who have never seen the sun. Or grass just, the pure joy and love for their friends after they showed them a world so beautiful they had never even dreamed of is, incredible.

Getting to the Overworld was different for most of these Hermits. X found his way there escaping from an argument with EX and to be honest? The Overworld was a lot. Most End-bound mobs are used to the emptiness of their home dimension. The Overworld can seem dense, and loud in comparison. It probably took Xisuma a while to feel safe there, honestly. Mumbo doesn’t really remember the first time he arrived in the Overworld. It was back when he was first learning to teleport, he was very young and just saw it as a new place to explore. Grian followed Mumbo out, and he didn’t really have the time to appreciate it until after making it to Season 6. He’d heard about it before from Mumbo, so he knew what to expect. But really, Mumbo’s words, and his imagination didn’t do it justice.

For the Nether mobs, the first thing that usually hits them is the temperature. This was especially true for Impulse, who didn’t have a fiery core to warm him like Tango and Zed. Tango was there to keep him warm while he got used to it, though. Similar to Grian, Impulse and Zed had both heard about it extensively from an excited Tango, and had some idea of where they were going. Zed had a lot more anxiety about it, hence why he waited longer, but in the end it turned out he had nothing to worry about. The Overworld’s pretty damn cool, after all.

You’re right;; EX thinks the amount of time he spends on just the top and back of X’s shell is too damn long, he probably would just dunk it.

EX often Helps Xisuma with the parts of his shell he can’t see, and sometimes he’ll doodle on it. Xisuma never notices and none of the other Hermits mention it.

For the Mob Fusion AU, does Xisuma just plonk his head into dye to get the shell to change color

He usually paints it on meticulously, just like you would dying hair. Just sticking his head it might work, but it’d be messy as hell.

Wait so for Xisuma's Strider skin does he just glue those weird long ear things to his shulker? idk what those even are.

Yeah lol. He spends a lot of time trying to get them in the right place, and then EX comes in and tells him they’re lopsided.

If Xisuma had stripes painted to be a bee, then does he have little eyes by painted on the lower ends of his upper shell to be a strider?

I’m not sure;; I kinda ignored the bee eyes in the last one so I don’t know about the strider eyes this time 🤔

He has those weird strands taped to the top of his shell tho
