Dental Meeting
Quinn groaned as the subway train jerked into action, the sudden motion causing her body to sway and her head to rock back, adding to the dull ache that had plagued her jaw for the last several days. An ache that, hopefully, would be gone sooner rather than later. She just hoped her roommate was right about the Dental School’s clinic offering a discount rate otherwise she’d have to suffer until she could save up, scrounge and or borrow enough to get her dentist to take care of the problem and her roommate was already threatening to move out if Quinn didn’t get it fixed. Not that Quinn blamed her. The constant pain hadn’t exactly made her a joy to be around.
But if everything worked out, she’d return with a pain free jaw and a happy roommate.
Another groan filled Quinn’s throat as the train slowed to a stop and caused her to sway once more.
Her appointment couldn’t come soon enough.
It took her a few minutes to walk from the station to the Clinic and a few more to register at the front desk and fill out the necessary forms but Quinn was soon flipping through a several months old magazine with one hand while the other tenderly held her cheek as she waited for her name to be called.
