Lazy Sunday with my guitar. I thought I'd sing one of the very first songs I learned to play on the guitar. :) P.S. Please excuse the mistakes. This was all one take! I was really feeling it. lol

"All we can do is try and live like we're still alive." Watching this made me so so so excited to see her live during her Little Black Dress tour!! Eek! My heart! lol
Kina's 2nd debut album, Elements, is filled with great songs about love and especially life. I encourage anyone who's looking for some meaning and hope in this crazy world to buy the album and listen to it. :) There are many great songs in this album, but when I heard the songs all in the first round, this one stood out most to me. It's about looking back on your life and reflecting on how far you've come despite all the crazy obstacles that life throws at you. I'm one to be the "little worrier" who dwells on things, which I know is a bad habit, but this song reminds me to look past the negatives and be thankful for the now. It's not easy, but it's life. I'm just glad to have a best friend, even though she's across the ocean, who's always there for me when I feel down and who believes in me more than I believe in myself. So this video is for her. :) Present, remember, we're here to remind each other when we forget that happiness is a choice. *RAWR* <3 (I just learned it today. Please excuse my voice and the mistakes. lol...It's all out of love!)
Sometimes we are tested, not to show our weaknesses, but to discover our strengths.
This is adorable. Ahhh love! :) Sara Bareilles just helped 2 couples get engaged in her new music video for "I Choose You."
If there's anything that bothers me, it's when I'm out with someone and half the time I am with them, they are on their cellphones. Am I really that boring?? lol Nowadays, even just looking at other groups of people hanging out, but they're on their phones really bother me. I would do anything to be out with friends in real life rather than chat all day on the computer or phone. Now, don't get me wrong, from time to time, I'm guilty of such an act, but I've learned to turn them off or ignore the temptation to look at my phone every five minutes. I've learned to be respectful when I'm with someone to give them my complete, undivided attention instead of constantly checking my phone. It's hard. It takes a lot of discipline, but you will find that you might miss out on something happening around you, especially the special little things like a smile from a stranger, a cute habit from the person you're hanging out with, or simply just savoring the moment and feeling alive in this crazy world. Those are the things you will remember most. Because amongst all that crazy, you'll be surprised you can actually find quiet and peace even in the midst of the noise and chaos around you. :)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS!!
Hello!
Hi Tumblr friends!
I know I haven't been on here in a while. I know I have just been posting videos from YouTube and posting pictures from Instagram. But for the most part, I have not forgotten about you. I wish I could share stories about my time in school. If you do not know yet, I am currently in nursing school. I have met so many people (aka my patients) and I learned so much from them about life and about myself this past year, but I have not had the time to write about them. But just know that I miss those sleepless nights coming on here and browsing the many posts and writing randomness. Anywho, it is the last 3 months of the year. My favorite time of the year when everyone is waiting for the holidays to come. Let us make these last few months great. I hope you are all doing well.
I love you!
xo, J
