Jeremy never expected to become friends with Lucas Sharpe so quickly, and he was very happy they got along so well. The kid was really cool and just as awkward and random as he was. When the boy tried for a Pokemon joke, it was all over, he'd touched the sacred nerd valve of his heart. He had to admit that the 90's kid in him squealed too.
The boy headed to the DBBS pool in some regular swim trunks, only wearing a speedo during intense practice or competition, since he was always more comfortable in them. He wondered if Luc would actually meet him. The boy seemed pretty attached to his indoor life. Even if he didn't show, Jer stayed optimistic, an afternoon poolside sounded like something he could use.
He stepped out and set his towel on one of the chairs, looking around for Lucas.
