Presents
Dear Vie,
I’m hoping you’re having a happy holiday season, or at least better than me over here. It’s only been a week that I’ve returned home, technically we’re staying in London with my family, and I’m already frustrated senseless. It was nice waking up in Hogwarts without a girl yelling in my ear that it was breakfast time, counting down till Christmas with constant carols, or hearing the continuous disagreements of my family. Talking about the season, we’re making a grand feast tonight and I’ll be the one making the Italian torrone this year. :) Tell me how your celebrations are going, I hear you English people can be a hoot and a half with your celebrations.
Anyways, to the enthusing part, your gifts. Thank you so much for the bag, it was luxurious and you’ll see me using it frequently. This Christmas I decided to go a bit more simple. Father says the brushes are good quality for regular painting. And considering I found out that you and the Diggory girl both like to play the strings, I got you a cleaning kit. Have no idea how to use it, but have fun figuring it out.
Ps: Fair warning, Mari said she didn’t write much because she was ready to chirp your ear off upon returning to school. Have fun and happy Holidays!
Dear Tim, I don't think it would have been a good idea to send you a howler instead because I don't think any written message would be able to get my excitement across to you. Truth be told, I have never changed the strings in my guitar since I bought it. (Maybe Mary and I'll try out a Beatles song together.) And the brushes are excellent! I've never had so many. It's quite boring here but I'm good (for one because I wake up alone, without a girl yelling in my ear that it's breakfast time). I burned the turkey, can you believe it? Of course you can. They haven't let me in the kitchen after that so I just contented myself with decorating the tree. Again.
Thanks for all the wonderful presents, I don't even know how to start with them! Happy holidays! With love, Vie PS. Like you have to tell me that! Mari chirps my ears off everyday.
