week 4: Christmas approaches

so by now I’ve heard back from all of you and a little more than half of you guys are completely done!! wow!!! and everyone else is working on/close to finishing and aaah I’m so excited and proud of u all ;u;

so here’s how this shindig will go down

if you’re done, hang on to your gift. if you’re still working, please please do your best to put some time aside today and tomorrow!

11pm, Christmas 24th, 2014. Wednesday evening this week:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING GIFTS

navigate yourself over to your secret santee’s blog. find their submit button (or just /submit) and take a deep breath. submit your gift as a photo, and add a little message. “heyooo I was your secret Santa! hope you like your gift! feel free to add me on Skype @ whatever your handle is” (if your blog is a sideblog, please include your askblog url— this is crucial for later!!). click submit and all that, and you're done!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECEIVING GIFTS

refresh your inbox like crazy. if it doesn’t come right at 11 your time, remember that timezones are a thing. don’t bite your nails to bits. once you get your present, post it! say something nice about it and thank your secret santa. (optional: dramatically announce that you knew it was them all along, with the kitchen knife in the parlor. wait what?) make sure to include the tag “xmasxchange” on the post so *I* can find it and reblog it here! :>

December 24th-26th. Wednesday evening to the end of Friday:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AFTER GIFT THANK YOUS

sidle on over to homestuckpositivityproject and say something about your secret santa/the gift they made for you. mention them by ASKBLOG URL, not their main or skype or anything else, and include “[secret santa event]" at the end of your submission (the mods have agreed to keep an eye out for our group's secret santa posts and queue them together, but they have to be able to verify who is part of this event and who might me doing something for another christmas exchange!) otherwise, if you don't feel like doing it, let me know so that I can give them a better estimate of who will be participating.
