❝Y o u won’t set a foot into that building.❞
Of course he was right, and she knew how right he was. Medical supplies were rare these days, just like anything else one needed. But there was something more important than that —Carl’s safety. Again, the darker woman shook her head, looking down at the boy. He needed to understand; she wouldn’t forgive herself, if something happened to Carl; never. Rick, too, trusted her when going on a run alone with him and she wouldn’t disappoint the man. Not after what he did for her.
❝I’ll find a way in. You’ll stay here,
keep an eye on our surroundings.❞
"Are you kidding me?" Carl replied rhetorically, clearly not pleased with the plan of action. He didn't lack faith in Michonne and he knew she'd done this before, back when he wanted to get the picture for Judith, but that was when the walkers were distracted by him standing outside of the doors. It was getting dark though, and he didn't want to waste their time arguing. Thus, the teenager gave an audible sigh to express his dismay and met the woman's gaze.
"Okay, we don't have time to stand here and argue. I'll keep an eye out," he reluctantly agreed. "If you run into trouble, I'm coming in and you can't stop me." He had a silencer on his gun as well, so noise at least wasn't an issue. It was just a matter of conserving ammo.
