I put a query out about Skininator S4 and really, I think most people (at least in my circle) are not sure how it works let alone how it's 'broken' ... I really don't think it is, but again - I stress - I am not a CAS person and I don't understand the intricacies of what goes into making a skin. I got it to work for my purposes ....

I updated two things in Skininator to allow for the alien skin renumbering (the 'unknown' code 3005 'error') and added Fairy skins by only altering the XML file. Rather simple. This allowed quick for quick tagging. Using Skininator allowed me to also update tan/burn states with relative ease. If I had to do this with S4S it would be an undertaking looking at the code - finding the specific instance ... no fun.

Beyond that - I'm not sure what is broken about the program. It made light work of exporting the skin for editing for WW and as a base for adding tan/burn states when they were not correctly done. These are edited for personal use. I've been looking at the SimsInSpring skintones (modthesims has some - you can find others searching) but there are no tan/burn states and honestly - my edits on fantasy skins is a little different than a natural skintone. My guesstimation of color is fine when we're talking about a blue skin, for instance. I think it is time to retire those skins from my MOD folder.

If it helps anyone, I am uploading the XML file - save the original file in a new folder just in case. You should be able to drop this into the folder and tag your skins for fairykind. If there are other missing tags I am happy to help add those, but I looked through the different skin codes and I believe those are the two missing. That's the extent of my abilities here. Not a programmer - hopefully someone will pick this program up and fixes it properly for future skins. CMAR was a gift to our community.
