               eunbi couldn’t feel much. well, not much pain. she felt too much when it came to her head ! but pain wasn’t a big problem. but that didn’t give anyone the right to elbow her in the face like she was a god-damn punch bag !

“you jus’ do. it’s life. he jumped off, we only witnessed it on accident.” true, it was sick for hyejung not to feel any remorse-- any guilt for the stranger that just took his life. but in her mindset, many people did that every day and they were unaware of it. hell, if someone saw hyejung jump off of a twenty story building, they probably would have given their condolences for her corpse and then forget about her in the next hour. it’s how the world works, not everybody could know everybody. “jus’ forget it like y’forget the minor characters in a movie that experience death.”

❝ ♕ THE VOICE COMES through muffled and Carmen is shaken intoslight consciousness by the rough shaking of her body. She peeks her eyes open,only to have them shut once more when the street lights cause a pain to shootin between her eyes and an involuntary groan of agony sounds. The recollectionof what happened mere hours ago is nothing but a distorted memory and Carmen’shand instinctively grasps at the girls’ hand to get her to stop shaking herbefore her nerves exploded with the over exposure of unnecessary force. “Stop,touching me.” Her voice rasps out, throat hoarse and broken.

IT TAKESHER a few minutes to finally gain enough strength to open her eyes and pushherself upwards, which in the end wasn’t an entirely good idea due to the wayher chest immediately constricts, a violent cough leaving her lips. A thintrickle of blood leaves the corners of her lips and she slumps back into the girls’arms. She’s grateful that the attack happened in some back alley at night,mainly because there’s no attention on her, and because no one peeked theirheads around these kinds of corners unless they wanted trouble. It was awin-win situation regardless. Except there was a person here with her this timeand as much as she hated to admit that she possibly needed help at the moment,she did. It was written all over her face in the form of small scrapes, aswollen lip and her facial features twisted with the agony of a bruised rib.

FRANTICHANDS ARE patting along her body pressing against bruises, unknowinglystretching opened wounds and Carmen finally puts a stop to it by smacking herhands roughly. “Would you fuckin’ quit that? Jesus.” Dragging her hand down theside of her face she lays back on the ground, inhaling slowly before turningher head towards the girl. “Can you do me a favor kid?”

“Y’ know what I like t’ do? Irene hates this stuff, but, it’s just so fuckin’ good!” May let out a cackle. “Sometimes, what I like t’ do, is buy it, drink some, and then switch back, n’ she’s just so fuckin’ disgusted.”

Wa-- wait. Did she hear it right? It didn’t make sense. Already, Seo Ah wasn’t informed of Irene having a sister looking almost identical to her. And now she had to comprehend something only the other knew very well. The contrast between the siblings in terms of personality confused her greatly. “Are you devil incarnate?” She blinked in shock, purposely omitting commenting on the ‘switch back’ part.

Irene looked at the tablet in shock. The two had been playing a small game of something like ‘20 questions’ but it hadn’t really advanced to anything more than ‘where are you from?’and ‘what’s your favorite color?’. The two had met through mutual friends, finding a weird fascination in each other. Well, at least Irene had found a fascination in the other; she wasn’t quite sure about Juni.

She stared at the question again, wondering how she would answer this one. It was true; family was one of the most important things to Irene. In fact, she would probably die for her family, but that was another story.

She stuttered for a bit, wondering how she would put her words together. Irene thought back to the accident, and then to when she had to leave France, and all the events leading to that.

With a sigh, Irene finally began to speak. “I guess, everything that’s happened… I just kind of cherish everything I have in the moment I have it, you know? Because everything that you have can disappear in the blink of an eye.”

          To form friendships with others of her kind wasn’t Juni’s specialty. Hers only involved tea and avoidance-- people remained walking mysteries she wouldn’t want to understand, no matter how often her adoptive mother encouraged her to. There was an urgent need for her inner circle to expand. As a tea shop owner, contacts were essential to a proper growth of her family’s company.

           Friends introduced her to a girl seemingly close to her age. She was pretty, just like a flower, but one that would be seen during the winter. The comparison was the result of a few glances. She didn’t dare look at the other for too long, her head constantly lowered. It was rude and uncalled for, right? She shouldn't be doing that, obviously. The eyes must be focused on something else.

          It was a record though. She hadn’t written a lame excuse to escape from the situation yet. Not everyone had the patience to wait for her answers. 

          Her tablet flipped for a moment. Her previous message transformed to a new one.
