"Sweetheart, there you are." Mei Lin said as she looked up from her laptop, as if she'd been kept waiting for Chloe even though they hadn't had any meeting scheduled for the day. Chloe was hardly a child or an untested employee, Mei Lin didn't think she needed to schedule appointments with her to make sure that Chloe was doing what she should for the sake of the Network or remind Chloe to check in with her. "Tell me, has anyone given you difficulties with the event? It will hardly look like a strong showing if everyone is too afraid to party after the attack, but we can't look afraid."

"Miss Charoensuk, you're an unexpected part of my day." Diego said with as much grace as he could manage. He didn't say it was pleasant, but he didn't say it was dreaded. He wasn't exactly used to representatives of other gangs coming to one of his businesses, but then again, if he had to say which organization he dealt with the most outside of his own, Diego knew it was the Network. Odd, considering how little he cared for both of its leaders, but they did have good people working for them. Exactly how he felt about Chloe was not relevant.
