“It is rather miraculous humanity was able to survive so long with such a limited medical knowledge.”
@xnotsecondbest cont.’d from here.
She didn’t do what the man said. Not at first. Martha kept the gun trained firmly on the stranger.
But then….
She lowered the weapon slowly, an incredulous look on her face.
“No. It can’t be –” She hunted around for something more clever to say, but finally a smile broke out across her face. “It’s you, isn’t it?”
“Hello Martha Jones.” The toned greeting an answer to her question in and of itself. Allowing a moment of brief silence to pass, The Doctor glanced warily at the firearm ( a token of UNIT no doubt ) and raised a brow back to his former companion of a long time ago.
“Does it help? Does the gun help you feel safe?” Perhaps he should add a touch of specificity to spell out his dismay. Realization dawned, as she smiled at him, that he should return the gesture, a tugging urged in him to alleviate his approach on the matter but it couldn’t be helped. As much as he longed to grin, jump like a child, throw open his arms and laugh at the seeming joyous reunion — he couldn’t.
An overbearing reflection of his influence on her life stuck out like a fly on the wall in his mind. He did something wrong leaving her, pushed her in the wrong direction, left her in the dark — all this and he had himself to blame for her simple reaction of drawing a gun at a stranger. It didn’t help that UNIT closed off the area to the general public but by no means of the word was HE the general public. “Question. Do I LOOK remotely dangerous?”
“ OH MY GOD! ...really? Like...really really? SERIOUSLY?! ”

“What are you staring at?” she exclaimed, not really mean to sound as aggressive as she did whilst she ruffled her hair slightly, clicking her very rarely worn heels together with a small smile looking up at the figure in front of her. A figure who had probably had their eyes on the brunette for quite some time now, whether that was on purpose or not would be another story
"I never want to see a naked man again."

“You’re TELLING me. I don’t WANT to SEE one in GENERAL.”
“Well, no.”
Sally felt it was a silly question to ask not because she would have to reply no and they most likely knew that, but because of the content. She felt that most people wouldn’t ask that question. Wasn’t it common sense?
