Genesis does respect Sephiroth, but his one-sided rivalry with the man has driven such a wedge between them that any respect is tarnished with bitterness. He was too young to accept Sephiroth’s skill as something to be celebrated -- Genesis wanted to challenge him until he was the legend.

Angeal held their friendship together. He was always the peace-maker, and without him Genesis doesn’t know when to apologise and Sephiroth is too stubborn to back down from Genesis’ fights.

Despite everything that’s happened, Genesis can’t sleep at night until he knows Sephiroth is still there. He doesn’t make a point to say goodnight to him out of politeness, he’s checking that he hasn’t been left alone. The few times he hasn’t been able to find Sephiroth he’s sat up with a book and waited for him.

Yeah - some of them got a little forceful, tbh and the line between it being toward mun and muse did get blurred quite severely. As long as it’s all tasteful, I welcome it - just no underlying hate and stuff.

they should teach new recruits dance besides the regularities of mindless brutality.   not only is it  AESTHETICALLY pleasing,  it teaches one how to flow  ---  && as he doubts the presence of such lessons in other armies,  it could give theirs the advantage of being far less predictable. more than once has it helped Genesis where he is weakest  -  hand-to-hand combat,  close quarters && without the aid of either materia or blade.

he gets C A R R I E D A W A Y .   eyes remain shut,  wrinkled with a concentrated pleasure,  memory && ardour ignited alongside one another. maybe he should try for a little music ...

OKAY. I AM ALL YOURS. SEPHIROTH IS ALL GENESIS'. LIKE. SEPH JUST WATCHES GENESIS DANCE ONE DAY AND HE'S LIKE ????
