Eight years ago Niall and Louis met when they got put into a band together...right? At least that's what they want everyone to think.

Normally Niall gets a chance to meet with his guests before the show, but he ends up getting to the studio too late to do so before he has to start. He’s been half distracted by his mate mark, the one that has been slowly changing from a blue swirl to black, the color inching along to mark the time he’s supposed to meet his soulmate. It’s nearly all blue now, only the slightest hint of black left and Harry is pretty convinced Niall is going to meet his soulmate tonight.
That could mean an audience member or even one of his guests, which, he’s got a nice lineup tonight so he wouldn’t mind that so much. He’s especially keen on Louis Tomlinson, one of his favorite actors and long time celebrity crush. As soon as he’d been given this amazing opportunity to host his own talk show he knew he had to get Louis on his show, if nothing else than he felt like they’d have a great time bantering.
His monologue goes off without a hitch as usual, the audience eating out of his hand and laughing along with him. He has a habit of cracking himself up which he’s been told is one of his biggest appeals to his audience. When they cut for a commercial break he goes around to the audience members who are closest to him and shakes some hands and tells them thank you for coming before he heads over to his desk to get into position for the next shot.
“We’ve got an amazing show for you tonight! Let’s kick it off first with our first guest. He’s an award-winning actor who most recently stole our hearts as the dysfunctional, but lovable superhero in Unleashed, please give it up for Mr. Louis Tomlinson!”
Niall stands up to greet Louis, holding out his hand to shake, when he looks up and meet’s Louis’ eyes for the first time. It’s like the whole world freezes the inside of his wrist suddenly burns with a strange kind of pleasurable heat that has him looking down to see his mate mark has turned completely blue and is glowing softly. When he looks back up, Louis is looking at him with wide, shocked eyes, his own mate mark is glowing as well.
It can mean only one thing.
“You’re my soulmate,” Niall says with wonder and awe. The whole studio is completely silent, everyone recognizing the significance of the moment.
“Can’t say this is what I was expecting when I said yes to this,” Louis says.
They reach out at the same time and clasp hands. Both of their marks flash a bright blue, then dim until they stop glowing. They’ll only glow now in certain circumstances.
“Let’s not air this, yeah?” Louis says softly, only for Niall’s ears. The studio is so quiet though it’s possible everyone has heard anyway.
Niall feels his heart drop just a little. Does Louis not want him? He can’t imagine much worse than his soulmate not wanting him.
“Hey, none of that now. I’m...this is amazing and we’re already sharing it with too many people,” Louis says, either sensing Niall’s emotions or just reading him like an open book. Once bonded soulmates can do some pretty amazing things together. “We’ll talk privately after this, yeah?”
“Yeah,” Niall says, relaxing into the warmth of the bond that’s already starting to grow and get stronger. “Yeah, okay.”

Harry’s the most popular but you’re probably thinking of Louis because people “ship” them together and like…they’re people that legit think that they’re in a secret relationship that they’re management company has been covering up for the past five
years when Louis had a girlfriend named Eleanor up until like March of this year but the other one is Liam and he’s awesome too but I e-mailed you a long ass rant as well so you should read that lol!

Zayn is the one that left and he is the one engaged to Perrie from Little Mix so yes that’s right. The other names are right but you FORGOT MY FAVORITE AKA NIALL!!! He’s the blonde one! But yeah it’s Niall, Harry, Louis, & Liam that are left and yes

Also Zayn is probably the one you think is good looking because he’s fucking gorgeous even when I’m mad at him, and not for leaving but because he was a dick on twitter to Louis!
HAHAHA, I’m sorry. So Niall’s the one I thought was an “L” name? Oops. Well, his name ends with two l’s so that sort of counts, right?
At least I got curly right. He’s one of the more popular ones, isn’t he? He and Zayn? I feel like I’ve seen or heard more about them than the others. Oh, wait, there’s one who has similar coloured hair to Harry but it’s not curly, isn’t there? I think I’ve seen a bit on him, too, but I have literally no idea which one he is. I thought I was right about the blonde’s name starting with L, but obviously Not-Curly is one of the Ls instead since he’s not Zayn, Harry or Niall.
I feel like I’m speaking in weird code, or I’m a really unimaginative spy.

I’m pretty confident curly is Harry. And I think there’s a blonde dude and he’s one of the “L” names.
I hadn’t even heard a 1D song until they covered them on Glee. I honestly don’t know how I’ve managed to avoid knowing anything about them so well for so long, omg. I thought I had a basic knowledge of them when I tried to answer that post but, umm...it’s been made clear to me that I actually do not.
Oh! I know one of them is dating (or engaged to?) one of the girls from that group that sing that Salute song you send me a clip for because you knew I’d enjoy it. Umm...Little Mix, I think? DID I GET THAT RIGHT, DANIELLE?!

haha you didn't realize the Flashback was the first part of two? Oh Sammy that makes me smile!
I mean, I don’t see ads for Glee, and I avoid spoilers like the plague, so I had no way of knowing two eps aired. I went online to get the flashback ep, but I didn’t see ep 13 anywhere, and the hash for #GleeGoodbye was on the flashback ep.
After the ep finished I was just sitting here thinking, “that was a really stupid finale, wtf?” until I got on tumblr and eventually saw someone mention “the second hour” and I had to actually search for ep 13 specifically because it wasn’t widespread for some reason.
