Do you have any recommendations on bird carriers?
Depends on the size of the bird and the function.
For smaller guys you can just use any small bird cage (that most pet stores will be selling as proper housing for finches even though they’re waaay too small for permanent housing. You can also use this sort of thing for them, it’s usually best to find ones in stores so you can test bar strength, the lock, and general sturdiness.
for medium guys you’d go with either an unused cat carrier, something like this or one of these
for large guys you’re either going with a dog carrier or this
If you intended a travel carrier for actual travels like hiking you’d be best to go with a bird backpack
In terms of brand there’s really no specific answer, kingcages is usually a good brand, prevenu hendryx can be good for small birds, otherwise it’s really up to just feeling the quality of the cage, the bar strength, materials, joints, hinges, and locks.
