Whenever there was a moment of downtime, Karme tried to write messages on paper to his friends and send them with his weaves, but there was no way of knowing if they even reached their destination. Kuno, Araceli, Torsten, Adrian… There were many sent already and more he wanted to send, but his pen hovered over the paper for this latest one. He didn't know the details of what Polaris had to do in Maferath, but him being abroad when the queendom started getting attacked was a good sign, right? Just because they've not seen each other since Progress Day didn't mean Polaris was in danger, right? Karme knew he was using his fear as an excuse to avoid sending a message, but he calmed himself by imagining Polaris placing a hand on his shoulder, reminding him to breathe. 'You can create far more complicated works in your sleep. Twenty-five words is nothing. Besides, do you think I'd let myself get captured?' he imagined the bard saying in his ear. It brought a smile to Karme's face, so he finally began writing:
I hope this finds you and that you’re safe. I’m trying to be brave and help those in danger. I want Thinking about Please I think I Miss you. I’ll find you somehow.
Besides the part at the end where he struggled to find the right words, Karme thought his message was sound, though it didn't cross his mind to address it properly before his weaves sent the piece of paper out of his hand. He could only hope it found its way to Polaris, but that was for the One Power to decide.
