“What.. is it like? What are they like?”
He asks suddenly and without much warning after handing off (yet another) a synthesis to her, back facing the Arc-Dancer as his hands fiddle about with his stock, re-organizing this and that.
It’s been too long for him since he’s heard of them, let alone seen them-- to know their numbers dwindle each day the Reef has its doors open to the Light-Bearers.. It brings him both sorrow and a subtle sense of satisfaction. After all, they deserve what they’re getting.
(Right?)
“The Wolves.”
listen here, you fucking scrub lord of mine, if you keep talking all this dramatic shit, i will fucking fite you myself. i will 1 v 1 you myself, you hear me? i will actually meet you in the pit, pin you down, and sing you the sweet sounds of your inevitable defeat b/c you may be my king, but this queen will conquer you
is… is this an invitation for a date, because that’s what it sounds like but i am dangerously unsure. if it is i accept, if it isn’t…. i accept.
/casually slides a piece of tape over his mouth and walks away.

[ ‘ Hey there, Hunter-- I’ll cut to the chase, I’m on the verge of panicking, I accidentally broke -- I think I broke it? -- my friend’s sniper rifle and I don’t know how to fix it and I don’t want to deal with a crying Warlock, can you help? I’ll pay. How does a thousand glimmer sound?’ ]
The Exo holds out the sniper rifle from his lower arms as far as he could, almost like the weapon would bite him, one of his upper arms scratching the other nervously. His optics flick up towards the Hunter almost pleadingly, he has about two hours before said Warlock returns from patrol and he isn’t ready for tears.

This night will be the same as many others. Another soirée invitation declined by the Inquisitor, another party attended alone as a representative of the Inquisition. The hours will pass, she will make small talk, dance, and drink as much as she can without appearing like she has drank anything.
Another woman, with the clothes of a courtier and the posture of anything but, has been by the wine table nearly every time Josephine approaches it. The obligatory greetings accomplished, she may as well extend her proverbial net as far as she is able.
She leans forward so as to get the woman’s attention. She indicates with her head to the couple dancing to their left. “I hear the Lord Chomedy is rather upset that Lady Emerauld has so surreptitiously disappeared with one of the servants.” Some idle gossip. Everyone at these events is either happy to hear such things or will pretend they are interested. A safe way to start interaction.

❤ How long have you been RPing?
- I think I’ve started when I was around 18 because my best friend had made a Twilight character I think it was Alice. And I just thought that was so amazing, that you can pick a character and write as if you were them. So for some 7 years now, I’ve been roleplaying. Started on Facebook, developed, wrote and wrote, usually novella tbh. I don’t think we had like one liners and stuff. So you’d have 40 or so replies and all are novella length. I have no idea how I managed to write that long, but it was good practice. It definitely helped me hone in on character and know how to write, while obviously I’m still improving on myself.

The back room was floating, appearing and disappearing in the sea of cigar smoke. You could see the dim light illuminating hunched figures that spoke in hushed tones until one of them would either maniacally laugh or start coughing. He rarely went out to party, but when he did he made sure that he'd need to recuperate after.
The Old Hag was a famous pub, established sometime in the late 18th century and was packed filled with people of all walks of life. You'd see the local butcher sitting next to the prime minister on a Wednesday. Members of the parliament talking about the football game on Sunday with the bloke that owns the paper stand. It wasn't important who you were, it was important that you could drink, gamble and, well that was pretty much it.
"He has a horrible poker face. Don't you think Z?" He was of course talking about the Chancellor of the Exchequer that was sitting across from them. "Which means this country is pretty much fucked."
