What a state for the maid to be seen in! It would frighten her poor brother terribly were he to see her; or maybe he would enjoy it. Either way, the sight of a blonde child covered in blood is surely not one any expect to see, and said child stares up at the other expectantly, awaiting some reaction -- and to see if she will need to kill her, too.

There was something like 'class' residing in the King's voice.. An affected tone just to make the lie seem all the more believable.. The lie was that of a lady-in-waiting.. Some lower class beauty with a heart dedicated to the princess and her goals. Someone no one would spare a second glance at.. Someone to lean in the princess' ear and whisper all types of accusations.

And all she'd have to do was smile and nod.. and they'd be left alone. Two liars left to discuss the sins they held so dear.

The King had been watching this woman for days now. Always out of sight.. Observing the royals, their patterns, their habits. He needed to know his target before he struck. And what he knew about this woman was... well.
