Rafayel, what are we?
Happy birthday to me, damn. I did a random 10 pull on Xspace Echo and immediately got Zayne’s Promise Everlasting on the first pull.
I’m crying, I just got my first R3 5-Star card. Zayne, my beloved.
Anyway, I finally got Rafayel’s Deep Sea Promise card!
...But it was on one of my side accounts. I hate this so much. ಥ‿ಥ And still no Abysswalker companion.
I’ve been doing regular pulls in Xspace Echo, hoping to complete the Abysswalker solar pair.
But guess who came home instead. (╥﹏╥)
I love Zayne, and it seems like he loves me back just as much, if not more.
At this rate, I might end up fully ranking up his cards before I can even complete my Abysswalker set...
Just did another regular pull at Xspace Echo. It’s funny how I got seven Zayne cards and three Rafayel cards in that ten pull—no Xavier or Sylus in sight.
Like what did I even do for them to avoid me like the plague aksjfhd.
Rafayel is slowly catching up to Zayne in terms of affinity levels, which is wild since I struggle the most with him, especially in deepspace trials (I don’t have any of his myth companions).
I was trying to keep Rafayel and Xavier even in terms of affinity, but Rafayel was just like “nope” and is aggressively increasing his affinity with me in ways I can’t even understand.
Even though he’s not my number one (sorry), I still love my vaguely homicidal fish boy. ε(´。•᎑•`)っ♡
Well, end of the line for me. I’ve now reached 900 pulls in Xspace Echo. No more crates for me. 🤷♀️🫣
I’m debating on saving my Xspace echo tickets for now until we get the new sixth love interest. I’m keeping my diamonds for certain banners but if I get any blue tickets I’ll hold on to them I think.
I’m definitely saving my chocolates as I have everything I really want from the shop to be honest except maaaaybe a few photo poses but they don’t really bother me much. When we get the new guy I want to get any nice new outfits at some point if I like him.
Anyone else debating on saving up in case you like the new guy and with rumours he might be coming soon?!
I know a lot of players are still (understandably) a bit confused about the pity system 🤯, so I wanted to share a clear breakdown of how it works for each banner.🙂 Sorry for the long post 🫣 - I did my best to keep it concise while covering all the important details! 🫡
A pity system is a key feature of a Gacha Game.
What is a Gacha Game?
A gacha game is a type of video game (usually on mobile) where players “pull” or “summon” characters, items, or equipment using in-game currency.
Note 1: The term comes from "gachapon" = Japanese vending machines that give random toys.
Note 2: Other well-known/popular gacha games include Genshin Impact, AFK Arena, Honkai Impact 3rd, etc.
What is a Pity System?
It’s a built-in mechanic that guarantees players a high-rarity reward after a certain number of pulls.
What does Soft & Hard Pity mean?
"Soft pity" : A mechanic that gradually increases your chances of getting a 5-star memory as you make more pulls without obtaining one
"Hard pity" : A guaranteed drop threshold. If you haven’t pulled a 5-star memory by a certain number of pulls, the game guarantees it on that pull
Standard (Permanent) Banner - Xspace Echo
How does its pity system work?
At least one 4-star (or higher) memory is guaranteed every 10 pulls
The maximum number of pulls is 70 (the 70th pull guarantees a 5-star memory)
To pull, use Empyrean (blue) wish tickets
How to get Empyrean wish tickets:
1. In-game events
2. Weekly tasks
3. The Shop (Chocolates or Heartsand) or purchased with diamonds (150 diamonds per wish)
4. Upgrading memories
5. Battles (Directional/Open Orbit, Hunter Contests etc.)
6. Achievements
7. Codes & mail rewards (via redeem codes or in-game mail)
Limited (Event) Banners
These banners feature specific event memories
How does its pity system work?
Maximum number of pulls is 70 (the 70th pull guarantees a 5-star memory)
When you get a 5-star memory, there’s typically a 50% chance it’s one of the featured event memories
If your first 5-star memory isn’t the featured one, your next 5-star memory is guaranteed to be featured (50/50 fail → guarantee system)
To pull, use Deepspace (golden) wish tickets
How to get limited wish tickets? :
1. The Shop – can be bought with diamonds (150 diamonds per wish)
2. Event Shops - by playing event quests, challenges, or special activities
3. Packs - purchased with real money
4. In-game mail
Note: Deepspace tickets with a date above them are available for a limited time. If you don’t use them during the event, they convert into regular Empyrean Wishes once the event ends.
Rerun Limited Banner
Previously featured memories from an earlier limited banner appear again for a set period, just like the original limited banner
How does its pity system work?
Rerun banners follow the same pity system as a limited banner (maximum number of pulls is 60)
To pull, use Time wish tickets
How to get Deepspace rerun tickets:
1. Buy them with diamonds during the rerun (150 diamonds per ticket)
2. Special packs in the shop
Precise Wish
On some limited banners, you can set a "Precise Wish" to pick the exact event memory you want
If your first 5-star memory isn’t your selected target, your next 5-star memory is guaranteed to be that selected one
Note: This selection persists until you get the target, even if the banner reruns.
Extra Notes (apply to all banners)
Pity resets after you pull any 5-star memory.
Your current pity count carries over between limited banners.
Explanation: If you are, for example, 30 pulls into pity on one banner, you start the next banner at 30 pulls.
