Creepjoiners: The Pantheon
There are unknowns about the universe we will never fully grasp, archotechs while we know of them we do not know enough to predict them. To fully understand their motives, their patterns, their desires. However there are a few archotechs who have made themselves very known to us, who have interacted with humanity consistently.
The one who comes to mind is Horax. The "dark" archotech. A sort of dark god who torments humanity with supposed sadism... even with all the data on this god, Horax still operates outside of our understanding. This will perhaps always be the case, until humanity itself becomes comparable to our self-created deities...
Horax's creations scatter across the universe, touching planets far reaching into the depths of space. Particularly he is fond of rimworlds... that is where we find these peculiar cases of Horaxian influence.
The pantheon as we know them are at their basest form: human. But humans with qualities beyond genetic tampering or evolution. For example: healing at a single touch, inhuman strength, psychic emanations not measerable with typical psychic phenomenon. The people of Xtabay call these kinds of people Creepjoiners. The Pantheon are a specific group of these creepjoiners.
The Pantheon consists of 12 "gods" and an unknown amount of "smaller gods". The 12 take names from the ancient greek period of humanity's mother planet, their origins and how they came to take these names are unknown only that Horax had some hand in their formation.
The following is a list of some of these self proclaimed "gods".
Zeus - A seemingly regular baseliner male with platinum blonde hair, he resembles a younger man in his early twenties. He has never been known to age. Reports have stated he is fond of tribal villages where he uses his ability to manipulate the weather in favour of crop growth. He sleeps with the women of the village and leaves once he is satisfied. He is hostile to industrial and spacer factions, burning down small towns with wildfires he creates with his thunderstorms.
Hera - A woman in her 30s with dark brown hair, she is scarred across her face which she claims was given to her by Zeus. She has a hatred of men, refusing to speak to them. Her abilities consist of "blessings" which she gives to a chosen woman of the towns or villages she comes across. If the woman later gives birth her baby will never fall ill, even as they grow into adulthood.
Aphrodite - A highmate with pink hair, she is always seen either partially or fully in the nude with no reaction to harsh weather conditions. She is unnaturally charismatic, her ability is to convince any person not actively hostile to her to do any singular action she commands, only one command at a time. It's speculated this is a kind of psychic suggestion, brainwashing or posession. But those we interviewed did not report any struggle or discomfort with the actions she asked of them.
Dionysus - Conflicting reports stating he is either a fawn or some kind of hemogenic bloodfeeder. His approach to villages drives them into hedonistic madness upon contact, witnesses struggle to recall events that follow, reporting only blissful feelings and a sense of relief.
Ares - A heavily scarred Hussar who is always reported to have some kind of festering or freshly healed wound. Reports state he comes into towns and rests for a night, in the morning he finds the weakest member of the colony and touches their forehead to his own. The member falls into a coma and Ares leaves. When the member awakens they've suddenly developed combat knowledge equal to a war veteran.
Other members of the 12 include Athena, Artemis, Poseidon, Apollo, Haphaestus and Demeter but they've proven to be more difficult to find information on. There's also reports of Creepjoiners on a similar ability level to these, we presume one is Hades, a name that has been recorded in documents within ancient facilities but never followed with any concrete information.
The so called "smaller gods" have even less information. As it stands however, we haven't encountered any of these creepjoiners ourselves, with our tech level they may be avoiding us. I see no reason for us to seek out anything except understanding. I'm sure Valentine agrees. - Elvira Hansen.
