Omg, just saw your reply! Thanks btw. I know that Manners is only a director, not a writer, but I think he was singularly good at capturing the nuances of Dean (off the scripts) that Jensen was able to provide. I truly miss the old days when Manners was an important member of the show.

It seemed like Manners was genuinely invested in the show & how it turned out too. Not saying none of the writers or directors have that anymore, but the old days with Manners, there was less crew & things were more tight nit. Not that I don’t like a lot from S6 on up but in a way I’ll always be disappointed it didn’t end with the 5 yr plan Kripke had.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I always like hearing how Dean fans came to be. I’m not too versed on directing, but I know Jensen gives Manners a ton of credit & praises him whenever he gets a chance. I know Jensen doesn’t just blow smoke so I’ll take his word for it. I do like Kim’s eps. Idk who makes the final choice on this, but the dark gritty vibe of old seasons when Kim was around was great. It’s a shame. Cancer sucks :(

Ugh, yeah. The writers have fubar’d a lot more than just Dean. Idk wtf they were thinking with what they did to Sam in S8/9. Jensen is a bit of a catch 22 for the writers...they didn’t know the talent they had at 1st & under wrote Dean & now when their wiring is crap they don’t really notice cuz Jensen nails it anyway/my totally biased Jensen fan opinion right there haha.

A super big hug to everyone who sent something, who promoted the project, who donated for the book and who helped me doing this! I am so grateful for all the support and overwhelmed by all the Jensen love out there! This is what our SPN Family is about!

I hope you all like how it turned out and I’ll do my best to give the book to Jensen without crying like a baby!

Yep, hurt!Dean is my favorite as well. I think all my favorite fictions have it in it and I definitely always write some version of it. A side dish of protective!Sam is also very welcome in the things I like to read. :) Thank you so much for taking time to read!  Much appreciated. :)
