Levi ran a hand along chin as he neared the the house he had grown up in and where his elder sister was currently residing. He only live a few blocks away from the family home he had been raised in and had loved the idea of being so close to his family after being away for all those months when he was working and living in London. It was easy for him to hop over when his parents were in town or for them to visit him when he was pulling crazy hours at the museum as he often tended to do. But he had been able to avoid the house and the woman living in it for days now- claiming work was keeping him from seeing anyone and though it wasn’t a lie it was also an easy excuse to not see his sister. All he could see when he thought of her was taking that swipe at her when he was unable to control the shift and who he was when he was in his bear form. He hurt her. Could have down worse. Could have done a lot worse. Which ran through his head from the moment he was able to piece together what had happened during those days he wasn’t in control of himself and when he realized what had happened the waves of guilt washed over him again and again. He blamed himself for what he had done and hated that it had happened. So he had avoided her because he was still trying to come to grips with what had happened, control the guilt he felt, and face the possibility that his sister feared or even hated him. Which led him to visiting the family home to see her, with no warning so that if she wasn’t there then they could push this conversation they needed to have to another day. The gala was over and the exhibit was open to the public so he couldn’t feign work as a plausible excuse for shielding himself away from his family as he tried to handle everyone on his own so he didn’t burden anyone with his fears and guilt. “Addison!” The Vale said in shock as he almost bumped into his sister at the entrance of the home. “Are you leaving? I can come back another time. I know I didn’t call or text you that I was coming over but I had some free time after work and thought I should stop by and talk to you about everything and yeah- but if you need to go then I can come back another day. I don’t want to hold you up-” he rambled as he took the time to catalog any injuries that could have remained on her from what he had done during the contagion.
