i may or may not have found a new character to write for 🙃 i’m gonna wait until after i’m done ovulating to officially call it, BUT i do have a question for my fellow writers below the cut if any would like to offer me any assistance with it 🫣

so, i really want to write for Koby from the live action One Piece, and i know that the actor that portrays him is trans, but i’ve only ever written for cis male characters before and i’m not sure if i fully trust myself to write for him just yet because i don’t really feel like i have the best grasp on writing for trans characters. i want to be able to do him justice, and i want to be able to also make 18+ content for him, but i don’t really know where to start to get a good understanding of how to write for him aside from reading and sharing the work that other writers have already made.

does anyone have any advice on where to start or what to look out for to make sure i’m not misinformed or misinterpreting anything? i don’t just want to ignore it and write him as if he’s cis, i feel like it’s disrespectful to the actor that portrays him if it’s just brushed off and ignored, and i want to make sure that i write him in a way thats respectful and as accurate as i can be.

When the new marines who dont know about you advance, they all immediately drop like puppets, causing the Pirates and experienced marines to freeze. You wait until Luffy is practically vibrating in place "not yet", seeing Mihawk's hunting gaze sharpen, and giggle, "Now" sending you marine puppets to attack their fellow marines.
