I fear nothing, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘴 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜

he wakes up at the sudden touch, the feeling of a hand on his legs, he sits up in a second, surrounded by people he is. He’s sweating, not just a little, but a lot, a very lot, he’s hot, warm, feels as if he’s going to die. Not only is he hot, he’s also freezing, he can’t figure out which he is, he’s neither and both at the same time. 

“Who are you?!” he asks, what had happened? Why did he feel so lost, as if he remembered nothing and nobody, why did he feel so lost, so meaningless, so confused, all at the same time? The male feels panic in his body, he’s afraid, he’s not too sure of what he’s afraid of but he’s definitely afraid of the people surrounding him, the people around him that he does not recognize, the strangers' hand on his leg.

“I’m your father” the male that has his hand on his legs finally reply. Though it’s honest words, Xuan can’t see that, he’s still in too much fear, panic and confusion from his nightmare. “Get away from me, I want my father!” the male screams, kicking away who he believes to be a stranger, suddenly now crying. He’s afraid, more than just afraid, he’s in utter fear and panic.

“I am your father”

“I want my father!”

“I’m your father!”

“I want my father!”

They continue mixing words, arguing in a way, and then the people surrounding Xuan looks at each other before leaving Xuan alone. Xuan? He continues screaming, crying, kicking, he’s in so much fear even though he does not know what he’s in fear of. 

...

The clock goes ...

Time flies ...

Time goes ...

Xuan stops crying, screaming and kicking

The male now sits left with the pure feeling of confusion and nothing, he sits not knowing what happened, and then he leans back, closes his eyes and once again falls into sleep as if nothing ever happened. His father from before returns, looks sadly at him and sighs and then leaves.

𝕚𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕗𝕝𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕗𝕚𝕖𝕝𝕕

     I’m having fun, I’m having fun, I’m having fun. The words repeat in his head for some reason he can’t explain, it’s like the words are just there, just there to fill in space, as if they’re taking the space of other words, as if the words won’t let other words come. They repeat, over and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, it’s never ending, it doesn’t stop.

     The young boy runs in the flower field, lets the flowers crash across his body and lets his small feet stomp on the stem of the flowers. There’s a wide smile across his lips, there’s no reason for it to be there, it just is there, for no reason in particular. Maybe it’s because of the shining sun, maybe it’s because of the beautiful flowers, maybe it’s because he knows his dear father is watching him in the distance, maybe the smile really does have no reason as to why it’s there.

     Nothing really makes fully sense, why three words are repeating themselves in his head, why he has a smile on for an unknown reason, why his father is watching him from so far away. Why does nothing make no sense? Even that makes no sense.

     The male stops, he spots something, what is it?

catch 𝙞𝙩 !

     It was quite easy to say that Xuan missed his brother quite a lot, not just a little, but quite a lot. Lian had always been there, he always was there, and now suddenly he was away, it was like the feeling of nothingness had hit him, he didn’t exactly know what to do. Xuan felt a bit awkward around the others, he did not know them too well, and he had nobody to cling to, he was alone for quite a while. And then Xuan met Yixue, and the moment he met her she became his target, suddenly the female was the one he clinged to all the time, as Lian was away, she was his new Lian.

     And now? Now somehow Xuan had managed to get her down to the lake and catch fish with him. Nobody else was around, it was just the two, but for Xuan it was more than enough, he was calm and having fun. His hair was in a ponytail, his clothes wet, and his sword somewhere he didn’t remember currently. Xuan normally isn’t the best at most things, but if there’s one thing he’s good at, it may be catching fish. 

     “Yixue!” he shouted out as he bend over and caught a fish “catch it!” he then continued as he threw the fish at her.

i’m bored

     This is boring, this is boring, this is boring, the words kept on repeating in Xuan’s head, he was bored. See, Xuan surely knew it probably would have been a good idea to actually read the rules so he could pass the test with ease, however, that idea just seemed too good to be done. If Xuan is right, he actually read as far as one rule (though he has forgotten said rule already), and he does believe that that should be enough, perhaps more than enough, because it’s much more than what Xuan usually does. The fact that Xuan failed did not surprise him at all, he was meant to fail, he kind of had guessed that, what more surprised him was how his brother failed too, his idol, the person he looked up to, perhaps this meant that he did not need to be perfect.

     Failing however did not come easily, because now there was a punishment, and it was boring, very very boring, it made thousand of unwanted things suddenly seem wanted. 

     Xuan yawned after another word again, this was boring, and the male was about to fall asleep, sleep was usually unwanted from Xuan, but this made even sleep wanted, if just Xuan could get away from here instead of reading words he would soon forget again. He continued whispering the words out loud as he continued yawning, with every second getting more and more tired and bored.

stay awake, 𝔞 𝔩𝔦𝔱𝔱𝔩𝔢 𝔩𝔬𝔫𝔤𝔢𝔯

     ”I’m tired” the male says to himself as he stares out into the forest, he’s not too sure if his brother is sleeping or not, but he believes that the older is, at least that’s what he’s assuming, as the older isn’t saying anything. They’re travelling, and to be honest it’s a bit tiring, Ming partly hopes they’ll be there soon, but he also does kind of enjoy this, sleeping in the wildness with his brother, his beloved brother who he does secretly love very much. 

     He lets his body fall finally and he stares at the stars through the trees, he lifts a hand as if he can feel and touch the stars, though he knows he can’t, so he chuckles at his own foolishness. How he’s still a stupid kid, a playful one. “I don’t want to sleep” the male says, sitting up once again and looking around, seeing the usual dark figures, he’s still not too sure if they’re real or not, but just assumes they’re hallucinations, and that he can’t do anything about them. They make him uncomfortable, but by now he has started becoming a bit more familiar with them. 

     “I’ll sleep now, even if I’m a bit scared”

the journey from the burial mounds to cloud recesses is a long one, and xiaoyu had decided to make it alone. there were many things that frightened xiaoyu, and a lot of those things he knew he’d likely have to deal with to some extent during his journey to cloud recesses for the lectures. it seemed the perfect opportunity to expose himself to his fears, and confront them. 

he’s made much of the journey already, having had to light fires at night himself, and dealt with spending nights alone outside, where there were animals and insects and all kinds of unknown, invisible dangers. but he’s come to a stop at a slow running stream near gusu to rest and bathe. his clothes are laid neatly on a rock nearby, and he’s let his hair down to wash completely, seeing as he’s in no hurry yet - he’s still got plenty of time to get to cloud recesses. 

he’s crouched in the lower area of the stream, the water lazily rippling around his middle, crawling it’s way along down it’s path. the sun shines against the water and xiaoyu smiles at the beauty if it, sweeping his fingers through the water to watch as tiny waves are pushed in the opposite direction to the way the water’s flowing. he begins to hum a tune as he washes, wading a little further into the water so that it reaches up to his mid-chest now. 

he’s relaxing, wondering how the other wei disciples are getting along with their journeys, when he feels droplets of water hitting the side of his face. with a start he turns in the direction of the attack, only to see a man who looks to be about his age, hands poised for another splashing-attack, but before he can, xiaoyu slaps some water back at him with a confused expression. “it’s rude to attack a man when his back is turned, and especially when he’s bathing- and naked!”

        xiayi-ge!

        he remains still, poised in position -- save for his eyes, which trail toward the door where a shadow of a man appears.  for a moment, he considers keeping his mouth shut and his presence concealed, but responsibility pushes him upright.  “enter.”

        the door slides open, and the man of short stature bows quickly.  it’s jiang jingxuan!  he’s having one of those episodes again.

        “how bad is it?”  he does not move toward his erhu.  “does it warrant tranquility, or are you here wasting my time for a slight annoyance?”

        it’s pretty bad.  we tried to calm him but to no avail.  we fear he may unintentionally hurt himself---

        without word, he brushes past, and with brisk steps, he makes his way to the guest corridors.  upon arrival, he’s quick to take his usual seat in the room -- an arm’s length away from the bed where @xxjingxuan​ lies, closer to his head.  “leave,”  he tells the maids, his command curt.  a moment later, the doors slide close and on cue, he lifts his bow to play.

        for tranquility, he seeks to calm the mind.  he cannot fathom what jingxuan is experiencing in his night terrors, lest to what degree, but tranquility is a rather potent piece  ( one that he has grown familiar with over the last three years, in fact ).  he plays it once to its conclusion, then his bow stills, and he peers over.

        “are you awake?”

she’s back!! it’s juju again, and here she comes with her second muse’s intro (finally). i here now present you jingxuan, or xuan as he prefers! no plot page yet, but pls! i’d love to brainstom with all !! under the cut i present you his history and facts !!

short history

so boy here was born on july 30th, 22 years ago. was born to jang wangjing aka the leader of yunmeng jiang sect!

so he lived a pretty calm life, got a best friend, loves flowers, everybody be like “that boy aint doing non but smile, damn”

but yes of course. one day him and his best friend guanyi decides “going for a walk in the forest completely alone sounds like the greatest idea till date, right!?” (spoiler; stupid idea)

CHAOS comes, because like suddenly the two get attacked by a monster or something and they’re both like AGHHJHYGUBHDHSDHKS, and it’s rlly just BBOOOM ABAMMA BAAM BOOM AGHH AB0OOM *screaming* BOOOM BAMM SPALSH H OWWW HURT *hurt noises* BOOM BOOM

they get found the next day and xuan is like “owwie my eye hurts”, turns out boy be blind now. oh and guanyi? yeah he dead

so xuan is like :( because he’s blind and his best friend is dead

three months later and he got that sigth back, is now no longer blind, yay ! :D!! though it’s not really yay because xuan is still sad about guanyi :( and now he just constantly gets nightmares

like said, xuan can literally not sleep, he be tired and bored all the time, but when he sleeps it’s *insert crying noises*

boy got a rlly pretty sword, hides in a sack though, but like!! you should def try get him to show it cause its pretty

if he sees his own blood then he out, he fainting

yes he likes drinking, but i would recommend never drinking w him, he’s not too good at it, and there’s a chance he’ll burn down somebody’s house if he gets drunk

he hallucinates so people be like “xuan weird”
