It wasn't until his senior year in university Doumeki could finally adapt into Watanuki's new life as a representative shopkeeper. He wasn't only his errand boy at this point. The seer sometimes sent him for missions, alone or with Tsuyuri as his company.

The strange shop didn't feel like a grave anymore too. During his visit, he came to seeing some sprites. The Ame-warashi. Nekomusume. The little fox who exchanged gifts and foods with Watanuki. And there was this moon rabbit who cleaned his kiseru regularly.

Today, he met Jorougumo.

"Oh, hi, you're his watchdog, right?" She twirled his blonde hair while observing Doumeki. "Calm down, Handsome Face, I'm here to take the red pearl he retrieved. Never thought he grew up that fast too, the lady-killer he is right now."

Doumeki glanced at the room where the spider lady came out. "Are you guys done?"

"Why, yes! He's expecting a grand payment from me in the upcoming days!" She licked her lips and winked at him. "Good thing he still tastes as delicious as I recalled! Anyway, see you later, Lover Boy!"

Huh, what did she say?

"Doumeki, you're here." Watanuki walked from the room. His eyes darted to the red slice on his neck. "You won't believe—hey, what are you doing?"

"What is this?" He asked as he grabbed his hand and pointed out his wrinkled collar. "What did she do to you?"

"This? Oh." His expression was too calm it grew Doumeki's suspicion. "We had a long talk about our existence, then I let her had my blood."

"You let her touch you?"

"It's Jorougumo we're talking about. To be seductive is a part of her nature." Watanuki sighed, then removed his hand. "Haven't I told you she came as a customer this time? She did no harm and, if she actually did, Mugetsu would protect me."

"And what did she mean about you... you're being delicious?"

Without missing his calm tone, he replied, "She kissed me as a down payment days ago."

His eyes got widened. True that Watanuki was no longer a scaredy cat. But, he wasn't used to him being too comfortable around those beings. Especially the ones who could potentially hurt him.

"Oi, let's have dinner. Entertaining those drunkards—"

"Next time," he lifted his chin up, "please have me when you meet those type of customers."
