[SHOW RECAP] Yoojin on Entertainment Weekly’s ‘Geurilla Date’!
The star went on a date with her fans on Hongik University Road for ‘Guerilla Date’ on April 2′s episode of Entertainment Weekly. Not only she played some games with her fans and provide good fanservice, but she answers a few questions on the short interview for the show.
The video started by the crowd waiting for Yoojin’s arrival as the MC hypes them for the singer’s awaited attendance. After a few minutes, the beautiful model-turned-singer came out from her black van all smiley as she greets the crowd happily and bubbly. “Hello to the viewer of Entertainment Weekly. Returned as a singer, I’m Yoojin and it’s nice to be able to meet you guys again!,” she said to the camera as she waves to the crowd that was cheering for her.
The MC then asked how she feels about today’s filming and Yoojin said that she was pretty nervous as it had been awhile since she’s been on the show. One of the fans interrupted the interview by yelling loudly at her as he said that he had missed seeing her which made Yoojin laughed out loud. When later asked what she has been up to, the brunette said, “I have been working hard on preparing for my album, did a lot of studying so that I could show the now ‘image’ me that I’ve been stored for!”
The segment then moved to her playing games with her fans as the MC selects a few fans from the crowd to battle out in order to get a fanservice for her. Couple games like making poems from her name, compability test and appealing to her with their talents were done as the winners then get to take pictures, get hugs or have Yoojin fulfill their wishes.
Once the MC and Yoojin is out from the hectic crowd, they sit down inside a cafe to have a better Q&A for the viewers and her fans at home.
MC: How does it feel being outside and meeting your fans again? I saw that they really love you and that makes me feel a bit jealous that I didn’t get to participate with the games hahaha! Y: (`laughs.) But you get to be with me here alone so hey! You’re more lucky than them. (`she lets out a soft laugh as she waves her hands almost immediately to indicates that she was joking. ) I’m kidding I’m kidding, I was pretty overwhelmed that the road was too packed and got worry over the safety of the people who came to watch but I’m both thankful and touched to see that I’m still receiving good lights from the public.
MC: So tell us a bit about your new company, Hi-Up Music. How long did you prepared for your debut too? Y: Well, there’s nothing much to talk about them since it’s been a longtime project that I planned for quite some time with a couple of people that I trusted. Truthfully doing something like this is very risky especially when I’m known as an entertainer and supermodel so I knew that people would look at me with a negative light. But after gaining some trust from people who are close to me, I decided to just give it a try so it happened.
MC: Alright, let’s play a game where you can only say yes or no and you’ll be wearing the lie detector, are you nervous now? Y: Me? Nervous? Of course not! I’m always telling the truth.
MC: Right now, you think you are the most beautiful person among the people that you know. Y: No! I know more people that are beautiful. (`presses the lie detector button and then gets shocked upon the electric shocks before she lets out a very loud laugh. ) Are you sure this thing is not broken?
MC: Seems like you sure do, ‘tell the truth’! (laughs) Alright, moving on. You wish you can turn things back and deletes the funny faces that you did on broadcast. Y: ...Yes. (`presses the button nervously as the lie detector blinks when truth is told. ) Why is the machine like this, now they’ll make me seem like a weird person!
MC: Last but not least, I wish to start dating so that I can go out and see the cherry blossoms with my boyfriend. Y: No. I’m tired of love for now. (`presses the button and relieves when the answer is truth. ) Wow the machine is really tricking me huh? (`laughs.)
MC: We’re coming to an end so would you like to convey anything to your fans? Y: Thank you for supporting me and ‘Ongoing Voicemail’ EP as you guys made it go to the top 10 in charts! I would like to say that I will comeback with a better image and music so lookout for those!
