Yk, after a good amount of trans people on the show I watch with my mom, I think I've come to a conclusion or two:
1. She's not fully transphobic, just enby-phobic. She doesn't seem to have too many problems with the general trans people(she will comment on their voices if they 'don't match the body' or be a bit weird about the right words, etc) but she's always voiced how she doesn't approve of nonbinary people specifically. I'll get my answer once some nonbinary appears on our show for sure.
2. She heavily suspects I'm trans. She's not wrong, but she's not exactly good with the thing I'm trans for(?). We just had another, our sixth trans person I think, on our show, and there was a whole speech about "I play a part on stage but I can't show myself" and stuff. She pauses and asks "do you feel like that?" Mmmmmm I can't say yes or else she's gonna ask questions.... so I shrug, "eh". That's it. We continue our show but it's really bothering me. I know she knows. I think she knows I know that she knows. Again, waiting for an enby to appear so I can get my answer.
Oh yeah she's also doing hrt (estrogen though) and thinking of getting a full mastectomy for pain reasons. Meanwhile I'm sitting here like "Oh yeah the recovery time for this procedure is ___." "You can get ___ easier if you go to ____ and ask for ____" "Oh yeah ___ is good for after this kind of thing" and she looks at me suspiciously.
