XOL NEVERLAND SPACE -  OCULUS RIFT EXPERIENCE our guest for the next weeks at Fidelio men :

Musician and 3D artist Vinyl Williams, recently signed to Toro Y Moi’s label Car Park Records, was invited to create an exclusive VR art project for the relaunch of Neverland Space. Titled ‘Xol’, the project is an interactive Oculus Rift experience for eyes and ears, taking viewers on a virtual trip of sensory perception through a mystical universe of colours and sounds.

‘Xol’ is for free spirits, who have been tempted to experiment with hallucinogens, but could never bring themselves to do so. VR can trick your brain, shut the outside world out leaving you feeling totally immersed. All without the side effects of a chemical come down.

To create the ‘Xol’ universe, the artist individually recorded 500 different sounds, which, when mixed together, create an eerie musical experience, changing tonality with every movement of the viewer’s head. With ever changing imagery that has participants travel through space past unknown planets and oases of buddhistic temples, ‘Xol’ gives a virtually limitless pleasure of discovery.
