So Sniper's always been really into animals, and his parents always warned him about rabies. The first time he leaves Australia and gets bitten by an animal whose behaviour he doesn't know well he immediately gets vaccinated. The experience is so horrible that he decides to take his chances. If the animal isn't physically foaming, he just hopes for the best.

(He's also had a few close calls when he was in really remote regions and couldn't get the vaccine)
