I wanna punch something
I try not to rant too much, but I'm really pissed off right now. Right now in my health class we're reading a chapter on mental health. Not too bad right? Wrong. The book is in Christian perspective, and it's blaming all mental health problems (anxiety, depression, anorexia, etc.) on not being a devoted enough Christian. What the fuck?! And to top it off, it barely goes over these actual problems, and brushes them off. The definitions were literally along the lines of; Anxiety: a person with a lot of phobias, including fear of the dark, heights, etc. ; Depression: someone who allowed themselves to become overly sad. Just... I'm gonna go punch my pillow.
