Вот только такой метод жизни это удел слабых людей. Ведь чтобы чего то добиться в этой жизни, нужно очень сильно трудиться и пытаться делать все возможное, чтобы у вас это получалось. Те кто добиваются того, чего они когда то хотели- это сильные люди. Вот и главные герои данного сериала познают в этой жизни много нового. Они поймут, что если ты не будешь делать сам, то что тебе надо, за тебя это никто не будет делать. Каждый новый день нужно просыпаться с целью и стараться делать все возможное, чтобы достичь это. Но герои наши не только ставят цели, они также получают от судьбы различные проблемы и преграды, которые им придется преодолевать, чтобы продолжать жить и добиться счастливой жизни. Но ведь это не так легко и им нужно приложить максимум усилий для этого. Да и пытаясь чего то добиться, многие люди уходят с правильной дорогой и идут по той, которая приведет их в ад. Но все это поймут герои со временем, когда какие-либо случаи в их жизни заставят по другому смотреть на этот мир и смотреть на сложные вещи теми глазами, которые позволят решать проблемы легко и непринужденно.... This represents a strong push from fringe directors in India. Released in 2005 after a lengthy delay, this quiet and calmly epic film starred Jimmy Shergil while being the debut of Shoojit Sircar (Vicky Donor [2012], Madras Cafe [2013]) and the nearly famous Minissha Lamba. The leading pair were largely unknown and as a result Yahaan performed poorly at the box office. To add to the problems was the timing of the release that saw the film pitted against much bigger summer releases.

Would recommend the film though as it is well worth a watch for a solid storyline, brave direction by Sircar, crisp shots by DOP Ravi K. Chandran and some great music by Shantanu Moitra and Nizami Bandhu.

Madras Cafe (2013)

This film which was shot and directed really well, but had a few loop holes. The documentary style approach, its vivid story telling, is not common for the Indian audience.

While we were ‘spoon fed’ what may have happened during the lead up to the assassination of our ‘ex PM’ and the circumstances that surrounded it, it was the cast that let the product down. John is wooden without any emotion, and goes through the film mouthing lines. Other important characters are either too emphatic, or caricature-like. Nargis Fakhri was not convincing at all. There are some good performances, but the casting could have been better. Some details in the story are either missing or vague, but they can be over looked by the masses. The discerning viewer will catch them though.

What saves the film is the direction and an honest attempt to say a story differently. Shots of war, distress, trauma and the planning and completion of the mission are executed very well. I guess since John was producer, the director was stuck with this particular talent.

Another feather in the cap for Shoojit Sircar after Yahaan (2005) and Vicky Donor (2012).
