Got home from dispo to see a neighbor relaxing on the stoop. They were kind enough to pose for me!

I woke to the air above me moist and heavy with the cloying scent of cool ranch pretzels. The client looming over me told me I'd left my office door unlocked, probably forgot it coming in from answering the call of nature, done outside because it had been weeks since my plumbing was shut off. But at least I'd made it back to the couch that was my office desk chair.

Without opening my eyes I knew luck wasn't with me. My business wasn't visited by people with other options at the best of times, and I was a long way past those. If someone had come in, seen the place, and still thought I could help, they must be really, really desperate.

I coughed, and smelled my own breath.

Really, really, really desperate.

I am reticent about too many details because there is an open court case, but things are improving in this short term, and all help has been appreciated!
