MOON woollen tapestry in Serhiy Khrabovsky interior project, Moscow.
FAINA is imbued with the power of ancient Ukrainian symbols. They give us a foundation on which new meanings later emerge — design objects that are close and necessary for modern times. We don’t need to look around for inspiration — we look inside ourselves in search of the important, written in the cultural code of our people. Love and respect for nature, the worship of the earth and its fruits, the spiritualization of all the things, living or inanimate.
Nature is minimalistic. Over the course of the centuries, we have learned that nature has no equal in the art of creation and destruction. No entropy: every thing has its why, every thing in its place. This is living minimalism and FAINA upholds to it. Design is a feeling. You never fake the feeling.
