“Close the door. It’s socold.”
She whined when he enteredthe room. Luise was hiding under three blankets on the sofa in a cosypullover. Milli smiled at her slightly amused but he obeyed her andclosed the door.
“How’s my sick girldoing?” he asked sitting down on the sofa.
“Bad. My lungs areacting up as much as they can and I’m probably either already runninga fever or I soon will have one.”
Her last sentence ended ina cough and the sound made Milli feel uncomfortable. Luise wasdefinitely more than a little sick.
“I’m sorry, darling. CanI do anything for you?”he asked smiling at her to cheer her up abit.
“A tea.”“Okay,I’ll be back with a tea and the thermometer. Do you want honey inyour tea?”
Milli wanted to knowbefore he left the room and she nodded in response. He quickly madeher tea and searched for the thermometer in the bathroom while thewater was heated up. Once he had found it and put honey into her teahe made his way back into the living room. The scene would even lookcute to him if Luise wasn’t sick.
“Here you go.”
He put the tea onto thetable and reached into his pocket to pull out her favouritechocolate.
“For my best girl. Gottamake you feel better”
He was glad her face litup a bit when he gave it to her. Just a few days and she would bealright again, he was sure and as long as she wasn’t he could takecare.
