The drivers of the cars were confused because I was taking photos, they hesitated, slowed down, and drove on, what the hell was this gaijin (foreigner) taking photos of behind the road??. The traffic on that road at that hour is almost nonexistent, and I was lucky to have 2 cars going in opposite diresctions.

Mod Waffles: Okay, so when I saw the complete and total lack of a setting explanation (and a little Google digging), I’ve gotten the feeling that this character profile was not submitted to me by the original poster of the character. And I don’t really feel comfortable going into depth on everything that’s wrong with this character if it’s only going to be used to laugh at or insult this creator.

Age: 8 Height: 5'2 Weight: 80 lbs

An 8-year-old would likely not be 5′2″, nor would a 5′2″ person weigh 80 pounds. Elemental Specialty: Fire  Position: 7th Phase, Youngest member of the Legacy Weapons: Senbon, Daggers, Knives Strengths: Great control over short and mid range fighting, great support, high level determinator Weakness: Terrible at long range, lack of depth perception, highly inexperienced, does not have great control over his powers Special Abilities: None yet Bio: Yamanako was once the member of a middle class Akitoki family; he had a sister that was a year younger than him and he loved her dearly. He grew up not knowing that his clan was one of the darkest rulers the world had ever known. Sometime after the end of the Revolution, while the Akitoki cleaned up the ruins of their once great empire, the psychopathic Hana Akitoki undertook a cleansing of the Akitoki people and sadly, Yamanako’s family was one of the families to be purged. It was discovered that Yamanako’s father was a staunch supporter of the Onikawa being rulers instead of his own clan and the new Akitoki higher ups found out and ordered them to be slain. Yamanako was the sole survivor of his family’s massacre and even then, he lost his left eye in the escape. When his sister died in his arms, his extreme sadness triggered a rage and thirst for vengeance inside of him, triggering the activation of his Phase Powers. He wandered around the streets of a small town until a family took him in and cared for his wounds. They fashioned an eyepatch from the last gift that Yamanako received from his sister; a toy locket that she gave him for his 7th birthday. A year later, a strange undead man began terrorizing the Onikawa and Shiryu clans and forces were sent to the Akitoki; Yamanako battled against them and caught the attention of Banjo and Miles. Banjo offered to take him with them and Yamanako happily agreed since he idolized Banjo. Now he has joined the Legacy and is training to control his powers and mature as a person and a warrior. Phase Power Bio: The Spirit of the Avenger courses through Yamanako’s body and oddly doesn’t try to take over his body often. The powers of the Avenger only manifest at their peak when Yamanako’s lust for revenge begins to overtake him. He cannot control the power very well, so he tries to hold back only until the situation really calls for it. In a twist of fate, his Phase Power works surprisingly well with Miles’ Prophetic powers. When Yamanako lets the orange aura take over, he is able to use several high powered energy attacks, including his signature move, Avenger’s Claw, which is one of the few moves he knows that draws inspiration from his Akitoki roots. He could easily be one of the more powerful Phase Hosts, but his young age handicaps that potential. As a side note, he appears to be one of only 3 members of the Legacy who is actually fully in sync with his Phase Spirit.

Final Thoughts:

As I said, I’m not really going to go into too much depth. However, the main things that stood out to me are the backstory and the fact that this character is a grand total of 8 years old. 8-year-olds are not capable of the things you’re describing, no matter how “advanced” or “mature” they might be.

This whole things screams “everything I learned about the world, I learned from anime” which is a pretty horrible way to go about things.
