Yamask is one of the few Ghost-type Pokémon that are known for being sorrowful about its past life. It's believed that these Pokémon remember who they were in their past lives, and they mourn for that life from which they came. Yamask actually creates the mask it carries around with it, and they make it to resemble the face of the body it belonged to when it was alive.
