He was happy to do his part.
However, the weeks following Hive City's branch of JPs official opening were rather quiet. Hibiki didn't imagine that JPs would have the same influence or size in Hive City of course, but as the weeks went on and the other branches began to fill up with members -- he found that the work in the Administrative Branch piled up and up and often times, the only thing to accompany all this paperwork was the quiet sound of two pens hitting paper.
Even now, all that resounded in the large work space was the sound of Hibiki's pen and Yamato's pen hitting the files repeatedly. While Yamato did his work without a single stop, Hibiki would tap fingertips against the desk or swing his legs, often times find his gaze lingering from paperwork to the Chief that didn't sit too far from him. After repeated actions, Hibiki eventually moved from his seat and shifted over to kneel besides Yamato's desk, tilting his head curiously and watching him work.
". . ."
"Chief. I want to ask you something."
Hibiki had something nagging at the back of his mind for a few days now and at first he thought to try and let it pass, he was worrying for nothing. But when push came to shove, he wanted to hear Yamato's thoughts on this. The Chief's views were always. . .quite interesting, even if their views didn't always mesh up or were at odds, he still wanted to hear what he might think.
"How long do you think we'll be here?"
