Star Fire Man

You are star-fire

Blazing trails of passion across my mind

Touches electric 

We connect

Dancing to rhythm-less  music

The world melts into the background

All we are is an orange sundress, few beers, dreads 

A pair of strangers passing intimate glances between sips of beer to pass the time

In the back of my mind I hear a voice screaming, DON’T

DON’T GET YOURSELF HURT AGAIN

RUN AWAY

I can’t run forever so maybe I’ll climb to the mountain of anxiety past the summit of past abuses and I’ll stop running from intimacy and hold hands with a man made of star-fire
