It’s funny how near-annihilation throws things into perspective. The possibility of everything he’s known and become familiar with over the last year or so suddenly being wiped out has made him realize he’s been taking too long with sorting himself out. Whether he wants to take it easy or not, it doesn’t seem as if the universe is content to let things be. Sooner or later, he supposes something was going to set off the realization. It just bothers him that it was something like all of that. Coming to the conclusion, however, only sets the itch for action under his skin. Like the night before a heist, he feels the anticipatory energy begin to build, causing him to pace until he finds someplace to settle for a bit. He waits until he’s heard from the others before sending out the next text, hesitating only slightly before beginning to type. Curled in a bower he’s made himself comfortable in for the moment, he double-checks his messages before hitting send.

is that... She almost didn’t know if she was dreaming or not. “T...Takumi!” She saw the other running towards her and ‘quickly’ walked to meet him. She still didn’t have her bearings yet, having just arrived, the grogginess barely leaving her, but at that moment, she didn’t really care. She saw a familiar, safe face.

‘ever’ is a rough qualifier but still…. probably not. almost certainly not, at least not out loud. if it’s about body language, or signs of affection, maybe, maybe, but it all depends on how much the other person wants to see. he needs that buffer, that plausible deniability, to protect himself from rejection. if he doesn’t voice it, if he doesn’t make it a confrontation, he can skate by on “they wouldn’t like me anyway.”

gokudera likes dudes who are way out of his league. he has no self-esteem. and he’s deeply closeted. confessing directly is out of the question. he just has to shove all his feelings deep down and then one day he will die.
