Yandex.Metrics launches new tool for monitoring the popularity of search engines and browsers
Yandex.Metrics launches Yandex.Radar - a public tool for monitoring the popularity of search engines and browsers in Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Turkey. It allows you to monitor the situation both as a whole and the changes in slices for specific platforms and device types. For example, you can see how the shares of search engines on the desktop or mobile browsers changed throughout the year.
"Precision and impartiality-these principles were our guide when working on Radar. We started with search engines and browsers - from markets that have a significant impact on the modern Internet. In the future the field of view of Yandex.Radar will be expanded. The goal of the project is to create a tool that displays the entire market of Internet services and technologies in Russia and other countries," says Viktor Tarnavsky, head of Yandex.Metrics.
Radar's reports are compiled on the basis of data on which search engines people get to sites using Yandex.Metrics, and in which browsers they are opened. According to research by W3Techs, Yandex.Metrics is the second most popular web analysis system in the world and, according to Ruward: Track research, is also the largest web analysis tool in Russia. In June 2017 Metrica registered 78.3% of the traffic within the .ru domain zone.
