Sadly our season is over, Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox you guys deserve to win the series, last night as I turned off the TV set after the 3rd inning I took a long hard look at the past because lately I have been negative and angry and anyone who knew me well knows I am Mr. Positive I am the optimistic one and loves to give inspirational talk but lately instead of being that I kinda became the rest of the fans in social media and it's not good. I grew up 8,500 miles from NYC and I was old enough when the Yankees appeared 3 times in the World Series in the 70's and as an adult witnessed the 5 Championship Victories, someone even accused me of not knowing anything about the game of baseball haha. When my mother moved to Jersey City in 1981 I knew then my dream of seeing NYC will come and 8 years later it happened and 2 days later I was walking in manhattan heading to my first ever job, I will stay up late and watched Yankees west coast roadtrip games but it wont be until 1990 that I will finally set foot at Yankee Stadium I rooted hard for a team that was dead last in the entire MLB, we are so bad even our players doesnt look like players we will celebrate with one awesome moment and feel like we won something over 100 heartaches, I used to go to the games after work and will either sit in the bleachers or between the dugout and the 1st base line and I will pay $11 for the tickets, there are awesome games I witnessed against the Red Sox and 2 that I remember so vividly was one day game in 1991 down 3-5 Mel Hall hit a 3 run walk off bomb off Jeff Reardon to win it, and a night game in 1993 when 2 kids ran off the field as Mike Stanley flied out to mike greenwell to end the game but the umpire called time giving Stanley and the Yanks one more life, down 1-3 with 2 outs in the ninth. #Yankees #YankeesCaps #NYY #NYYankees #NYYankeesBaby #YankeesUniverse #YankeesBaby #YankeesBeisbol #BronxZoo #BronxBombers #MurderersRow #BabyBombers #YankeesHat #Planes #PaperPlanes #NewEra #NewEraCap #59Fifty #5950 #Thisisthecap #MLB #ALDS #teamfitted® #UCCGPH #NYC #EmpireState #JayZ https://www.instagram.com/p/BovShgwg56Q/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=c29l95p8d9wf
