I mean, me and a couple other people realized how some of the dialogue matched up or whatever, but I thought it was some kind of parallel or comparison situation. Not literally being part of lily's split soul or... Fucking whatever is going on.

I don't know. I don't fucking know what Cookie Run is doing with the lore anymore. I don't know what they're doing with the story anymore. I am so fucking tired of their writing lately and this does anything except make it better.

Tbh I might be dropping Rising Charcoal AU after a 1.5 year "run". If I do write it I have to rewrite all of cookie lore anyway. That or rewrite half of the fucking AU. I have a Pokémon AU and a DW art project. Wouldn't be surprised if I continued drawing Rising Charcoal characters but dropped working on the story (because shockingly I have been trying to work on it, but I'm lazy and done as hell with "fighting against" new info)

Edit: oh yeah I'd also love to get more of these loredrops in the game itself, even if I still don't like the direction taken.

Lowkey kinda sad that Timekeeper probably can't be in RCAU. They're one of the only things I'm excited for, but I can't see a world when they play a Midnight Cookie esque role. All the legendaries except Midnight and Lightning are very "watching the world decay/just embracing the worst parts of my role" evil and not "I am actively praying on your downfall" evil. I just can't see a world where they work without being nerfed to hell and back, which I would need to explain.

It's not a complete lost though, I honestly don't like dealing with multiversal bs unless that's a major point from the get-go (like it is in BNAU).

I didn't have a schedule or anything, but I've been posting 2 RCAU posts a month for a little while now I think it's over. Said the following loosely in my last post but I'll repeat and expand.

I have art of me working on the comic btw. The actual comic, not just "oh I drew RCAU characters again", the actual plot. Both artstyle concepts and storyboarding, but I don't feel like even showing that. I am very checked out of CRK's story at this point. I was getting so close to not procrastinating on something only to lose interest just as I started making progress.

Tbh I don't know what I'm even going to post anymore. I'm not done drawing RCAU but it'll probably be more of the "theroetical plot" than actual comic. I draw BNAU an ok bit but my Pokémon posts seem to struggle (likes don't motivate what I draw, but it does motivate what I go out of my way to post). I have a AOC and DW AU but I don't draw that (and only the later might do well). And I have OCs that I don't draw even more than the AUs.

Maybe I should try starting Rising Charcoal AU before the heat death of the universe. I'm realizing that I'm not having many new ideas, but I also realize that might be a sign.

I know they're doing more Beast stories in the future or whatever, but the end of DE arc is all I really need to start at this point so I can finish up Salt's arc. Smilk's arc is the only one who I don't have a good plan for.

So maybe start the trio off, start Salt, and then start Smilk???

Sudden urge to make comics for the first sections of RCAU

Elder Faerie got battle dialogue with Dark Enchantress, good update actually.

(I'm gonna tag as spoilers but I don't think that alone warrants going under "read more" so uh sorry if you think it should be)

Anyway I have a test to take but I have to make the Rising Charcoal AU Dough Cookies and have them be friends with Elder Faerie.

Also I get to draw them interacting with Midnight because Elder Faerie wouldn't tell her about his new friends, but Midnight would figure it out anyway.

Tbh I don't think Rising Charcoal AU is back, I think specifically Elder Faerie and those surrounding him are back.

I'm considering actually making that goodbye Rising Charcoal AU animatic, but also like

Also I'm gonna be way more loose with Rising Charcoal AU spoilers because I don't think I'll ever make it properly. Turning it into an overarching plot sandbox that occasionally locks in for a major plot point sounds like the most realistic direction that balances realistic goals and my original set of goals.

Tbh I might just reveal the Elder Faerie secret once I know how hard I have to rewrite it, because spoilers, these updates will probably tell me how much I have to. (Also I might be giving up on Rising Charcoal AU anyway, so sure you can know my cringe AU's secrets)
