Okay, if your chickens could repeat things like parrots, what would they be saying to you?
"Are you my big boy?"
"Sweet girl."
"My little Chocolate Chip Cookie!"
"Your breath stinks."
"I love you!"
"My handsome DIO Brandy."
So, mine would just say normal things (albeit with a lisp), but what would other tumblr chickens have to say?
Anyone here with chickens have any tips or advice for someone hoping to start a small flock in her yard? Wanting to start with 5 or 6 hens. I'm not sure yet if I'd start with chicks, pullets, or grown hens. They'd be pets/egg layers. I have a good sized yard, but there are woods behind me that I know have foxes, opossums, raccoons, and probably more, so I'd get a good sized run for them so they'd be protected during the day while I'm at work. And I'd plan on making the coop and run movable so I can move them around the yard so they can get new patches of grass every so often.
BUNNIES & CHICKENS
Rural Things #1
Having a pet rooster is a lot like having a dog, except with razor-sharp spurs on his feet.
Rural Problems
Every time you try to leave your house, the yard chickens attack. It's like Jurassic Park.
