So i I found a little nest the significance of which is the olive colored eggs are from chickens we raised that we cross bred. Those chickens then hatched a nest of mix breed chicks that are the Cornish (brown egg layer) crossed with Americana (blue egg layer) and that cross is called Olive Eggers because blue and brown make olive. We have adult laying hens and adult roosters that we raised from our flock that we purchased and we know our flock is growing with each new generation. However they all look a like and that always had blue, white or brown eggs its just now the first time we have gotten to see the evidence of the flocks growth in tjis way. 😊 It was nice to see, especially when we have been loosing a couple chickens a week to a couple fox. #growth #production #freerange #wildchickens #yardeggs #farmfresh #chicken #chickens #crazychickens #eggs #oliveeggers #onthefarm #countrylife #country #farmliving #farm #farmer #farming #organic
