Lace Carriage

This was my very first attempt at using my lace carriage alongside my knitting carriage. To be honest, I have a basic understanding of how a lace carriage works and that’s about it which is why I chose such a simplistic design for my first attempt.

I currently have it wet blocking, and will add it to my stash of samples once it’s dry. I’m looking for more complex lace patterns to try soon, but also plan to just fool around with it to see what I can come up with.

This is my first time doing blocking...and I hope I'm doing it right.

I've pinned it, sprayed it with room temperature water...and now leaving it to dry overnight (already 1.28am now). Hopefully tomorrow it'll be PERFECT so I can wrap and send on Tuesday

Hey knitters of tumblr, I'm looking for tips on how to block yarn. Specifically an acrylic polyester yarn blend / blocking in general. Most projects I've don't til now have been small and don't require blocking but I'm making a basic shrug and want to block it before assembling it.
