Sounds exciting. (Though some friends own the Nep games too and it works for them? I only have the PS3 one, so no clue.) At least for Zero Escape I think the ports couldn't turn out that bad? The first one is a DS game.. that won't be so hard.. right? It's only text and a picture, and sometimes the escape rooms.

Absolutely anything is possible when it comes to ports, though I at least trust the Zero Escape team to care enough about their product to avoid half-assing the job, if and when they’ll get to that.

As far as I'm aware I actually don't own any ports, but it sounds like most of them are pretty.. bad? :/

Just consider this: the engine for the Neptunia games, as far as I know, is always the same, yet it’s only the first one that runs smoothly for me, whereas the other two - the second one in particular - have a framerate that makes them look like 70′s anime, except less fluid.

It's actually been quite some time since I played it.. and I don't really remember, but I think so? They kept pretty much everything in, including Junpei's way of .. being who he is. But I don't have it on my phone anymore since it takes up way too much space, and I changed phones since the last time I played. Different codes would be great though, I would definitely gift it to someone then! To the people I'm getting into the series.

Now let’s buckle up and pray for the ports to be GOOD PLEASE...

I hope they bundle it, that way a lot of people will probably buy it, even without knowing anything about the series. And yes, they did keep the Funyarinpa! (If I remember right, that is.) Literally the only thing that's different is when you're in an escape room, they start out how to tackle it and then Junpei goes "And then we found a way out like this and that" and the story continues.

Mmh I see! So they kept the puzzles in a narrated form, that’s pretty cool. Did they also keep Junpei’s ridiculous bonding with furniture, like the ladder and the mannequin? I really hope so! And I really hope there’ll be a bundle like you said, even if getting VLR a second time would be redundant (though in that case I’d hope that the codes would be separate, so that I could gift it to other people and thus spread the WORD).

By original you mean the one with the escape rooms? I've only played the novel, because it was on sale a long time ago. But I think a lot of people would be interested in the series, simply because it's a VN on Steam! I'm really looking forward to ZTD and trying to get as many people into the series as possible before it comes out. Would be easier if they ported them first and then release ZTD though.

My guess is that they’ll port them at the same time, perhaps even bundling 999 as a sort of promotion like what happened with Tales of Symphonia and Zestiria - hoping that in this case, the port won’t be a disaster.

I really hope they’ll do so! I was discussing this very topic with a friend yesterday, since it’d make sense (sort of?) to port the previous episodes of a series, rather than the last one, and it wouldn’t be the first time this happens either (see Tales of Symphonia’s port, despite it being very badly coded).

yepp!! read up on it it's a lot! also IF gets to be protagonist in her own game.. or like she is already, i think it's out. that one vs the sega... something girls. it's just a crossover so probably not canon but it's something.
