“yaaaaaaaas!” that was saul screaming his friend's name, not screaming yes, though either exclamation would be applicable. his excitement was palpable; it was the first spring extravaganza he was going to attend since his most recent divorce. after hearing everyone abuzz all week, saul couldn't help but buy into the anticipation, too. her door was open, as he expected, and once he rounded the corner into her living room, he found her on the couch, as (unfortunately) expected. “there's my girl!” the grin on his face instantly deepened into a frown. “now this does not look like a woman that wants to get a drink downtown and forget about her troubles.” saul shook his head in faux-disappointment. “i thought you were going to come with me? i need backup in case i run into dr. kathleen clark and she tries to start a brawl or something.” his attention turned to the tv. “wait, this isn't the newest episode, is it? i'm still two weeks behind.”
