Hello ! I'm new to the Noragami fandom and I just discover your blog (and already love it). I just rewatched the OAV and I wanted to know why do you think Yato has kissed Bishamon in the OAV2 ? I don't know if you have already write something about it yet ?

I wouldn’t think too much into it; I think it was just meant to be a funny scene from the writers and ship tease for the people who like YatoBisha, kind of a laughing “What if??” I don’t think it had any other special meaning to it, considering Yato put his hand in between so that he wouldn’t actually kiss Bishamon, and then he completely forgets about kissing her later on and has to be reminded by Hiyori lol.

If we did want to look for a YatoBisha-esque explanation, my guess would just be that Yato really does like Bishamon a lot; I’m not sure how far you are in the story so this might be a tiny spoiler, careful, but later on Yato reveals that when he was a young god, he looked up to Bishamon a lot. I think the relief of being able to sit near her and argue playfully with her, instead of literally running for his life whenever she appears probably really affected Yato a lot in that scene.

Also just... Yato is definitely a clingy drunk. The clingiest.

My GODS it always amazes me just how similar Yato and Bishamon are sometimes. And gods they are both so self-depricating and they have such huge fricking hearts. I love them both so much.
