Midterm Time - A Short Dramatic Play

Me Before Midterm: I STUDIED SO HARD FOR THIS TEST. I KNOW MY SHIT AND I THINK I'M READY LET'S GOOOO.

Me During Midterm: *writing furiously on the exam* I am not throwing away my shot! I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT!

Me After Midterm: *sees my grade* I imagine death so much it feels more like a memory.

T.A.: *interrupting my misery* It's okay: I had a student who got a bad grade on the first midterm, but then she did WAY better on the second midterm AND the final exam. She passed the class with a 3.7.

Me: *tears in my eyes* So, redemption is possible! *lifts pen in the air* I'LL WRITE MY WAY OUT. I AM NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT.

hello! my name is jamie, I’m a high school junior in the us taking apush, aplang, physics and calculus! (woo much fun) I’m hoping to pursue English/writing, since I enjoy those things very much! (and I really like space, hence the url)
