You know, ever since I started university, my self-indulgent Lost Boys High School AU is making a comeback, but it’s specifically the sequel to that where the boys and Star, after school, going to Uni and finding their careers.
Dwayne got into Med-School in Chicago but dropped out when he realised 4 years down the line that he just wasn’t cut out to be a doctor because he wasn’t a people person. He found himself an internship at a morgue and started a very successful career in the mortuary field and decades later became a very renowned mortician and takes interns under his wing.
David was originally forced to attend community college for Business by Max, but he dropped out and emancipated, went to live with Lucy with nothing but his childhood dreams of becoming a singer and his guitar. Took gigs at local pubs and started getting popular with people and got picked up by a record label and released his first album in 1990.
Michael went to a college out of Santa Carla, but eventually dropped out because it just wasn’t working out. Came back to Santa Carla around the time David was getting popular and David offered for them to be a music duo, and Michael jumped on the bus because? That’s his boyfriend of course he will. They started working together, performing together, and started touring when their music got really popular. They got married in 2008 when gay marriage was legalised.
Marko moved to New York after getting an all-round scholarship at a renowned fine-arts academy. Did work in the arts, music, and also some acting work. He landed a role with a friend and starred in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure in 1989 (hehe) and soon became a household name and went on to do more acting work until the mid-90s, when he decided to turn to directing. But he got outed by a colleague as trans, and studios started to drop funds and Marko never got his own movie onto screens. He stopped working in the industry until the 2020s, when activists and longtime fans demanded that he gets justice for being betrayed by the studios.
Paul moved to New York with Marko because he wanted to get out of Santa Carla and away from his deadbeat parents, and while Marko was working, Paul did odd jobs around the city. Got picked up by a modelling agency for his good looks and happy-go-lucky personality, but dropped the contract in 1990. Built himself a great social circle in New York. In 2000, he and Marko travelled to Canada for a little vacation and just because they could, got married in Montreal. They are still happily married.
Star did some volunteer work for a year before she tried her hand and got into a university dedicated to environmental science in Europe. She travelled there and graduated in 1992, and with her degree, went into environmental conservation. She began travelling around the world for projects, and sends screenshots to the group chat during her various adventures. She always brings back souvenirs.
Every year, everyone returns to Santa Carla and catches up with each other at the Emerson House. No matter how busy life gets, they will come back every year.
