Imitating art styles is really difficult for me, but this is still such a perfect crossover that I had to. Considering the DCMK world is a backdrop for my main fanfic series, it was too good to not pass up. The actual cultural impact Conan had on me as a little girl is such that to this day I keep comparing anything relating to detective shows -- be it anime or not -- to Conan. I still don't know how those old episodes sometimes made it past the Saturday morning censors in Germany, haha

Also, the art style of, like, episodes 150-300 is my favorite one, not as round as nowadays but not quite as pointy as Takagis first appearance

Ah, yes,, when I though completely outlining Arsene's head would be a good idea. It really, really wasn't, but I still like them. Also note a rare Ren with glasses, bc while he still wears them in YCmS, I cannot draw glasses for shit 😅

It occured to me that I've never drawn Ren and Akira together. So here they are! Ren has red eyes because it looks cool, haha, and for no other reason -- though his eyes do glow red whenever he uses his Third Eye or any affinities! All of the Thieves' eyes gold when the persona are fronting or in control.

The second picture is what Arsene's little necklace from the world offers itself to your imagination looks like, only not colored in because I,, forgot. Ren bought the pendant for Arsene as a Christmas gift because it's a homing pigeon

haha i can't believe you captured my soul is turning five today oh god

the series isn't dead!! my perfectionism just has me stuck like nothing else ugh. and also life happened, that too. have a funny little anniversary illustration that's just slightly rushed, and there's a fun little three-part noncanon side story being uploaded on ao3 over the next hanful of days! I'll link it here either later today or tomorrow once I'm at my computer hehe. let's just say Arsene got his hands on the internet :D
